Litvin A.V. - Opposition and Unity of Human and Geographical Space pp. 1-8

DOI:
10.7256/2409-8701.2016.2.18955

Abstract: The subject of the research is the relations between human and geographical space. This is an interdisciplinary subject, therefore it is studied by the Earth sciences, on the one hand, and human sciences, on the other hand. As an Earth science, geography focuses either on the influence of human on the geographical spaces or the influence of space on human. As a human science, psychology studies either reflection of space by human or construction of space by human. These scientific concepts oppose human and geographical space. Based on the results of the theoretical analysis, the author demonstrates limits of existing concepts. This limitation is eliminated by the author offering the principle of the unity of human and geographical space. This principle is a particular case of the unity of the subjective and objective. Based on the principle of the unity of human and geographical space, the author offers his own concept of the mental geographical cover that describes interactions between human and geographical space. The key term in this concept is the mental geographical map as a special mental structure as the result of the reflection of space and regulator of human activity in geographical space.
Sennitskaya E.V. - Some mechanisms of formation of intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts related to the personality characteristics of the Dominant and Subordinate person in the parental family pp. 1-29

Abstract: The object of the study is the patterns of formation of intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts, which are the result of the desire to rise above the Dominant family member and not live life as a subordinate family member. The conflicts arising in the process of realizing the following desires were analyzed: 1) to realize a dream that the Dominant could not realize; 2) to possess the skills and qualities of people in relation to whom the Dominant felt feelings of delight, respect, admiration, awe, envy; 3) to do what the Dominant was afraid of (or do something that could frighten the Dominant); 4) not to fall into the category of people that the Dominant considered "weaklings"; 5) to do something that could cause impotent rage (panic) in the Dominant; 6) to have such skills or qualities that the Dominant was proud of, took credit for; 7) to have those skills and qualities that the person possessed, who has managed to rise above the Dominant One in some way; 8) marry a person who will help realize the above desires, etc.n This work is a qualitative study of a structured interview, which was previously the subject of a quantitative study published earlier. The detailed answers of the subjects were classified according to the types of conflicts described in them. The novelty lies in the fact that on the basis of these basic aspirations, a number of private needs have been identified, the inability to satisfy which leads to intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts. A cognitive distortion has been revealed regarding the "helplessness" and "inoffensiveness" of people of the same sex as the Subordinate. The following personality structure is proposed: 1) ideas about what is "strong" behavior (based on the child's observation of the Dominant behavior, which ensures success in the eyes of a Subordinate); 2) ideas about what is "weak" behavior (based on observation of the Subordinate's behavior, which, from the child's point of view, makes him a slave) 3) ideas about "strong" and "weak", "decent" and "unworthy" behavior that exist in society. It is assumed that the driving force of personality development is the resolution of contradictions found by the child between these three elements.
Sennitskaya E.V. - The relationship between the personality characteristics of the "Dominant" and "Subordinate" person in the parental family and the personality characteristics of the child pp. 18-99

Abstract: The object of the study is some patterns of character formation, the direction of aggression, as well as patterns of professional and marital choice of men and women, depending on the gender and personality characteristics of the "Dominant" and "Subordinate" person in the family of the subjects. Typical conflicts for four types of couples are also investigated: 1) the wife has a "Dominant" – a woman, and the husband too; 2) the wife and husband have a "Dominant" – a man; 3) the wife has a "Dominant" – a woman, and the husband has a man; 4) the wife has a "Dominant" – a man, and the husband has a woman. The novelty lies in the identification of the fact that two people have a key influence on the formation of personality orientation: The "dominant" is the one who ruled the family until about the age of 14, when the child was not yet able to resist adults, and the "Subordinate" is the one from the household who was most devoted to the "Dominant", admired him and called for the subordination of others. The child copies the traits of the "Dominant", which allow him to control the "Subordinate", and the criterion for the success of this tactic is the approval of the "Subordinate". If the sex of the "Subordinate" and the sex of the child coincide, this causes gender dysphoria and low self-esteem, especially if the position of the "Subordinate" in the family hierarchy is unenviable. A person is inclined to choose such a sphere of self-realization and such a spouse, with the help of which he will be able to rise above the "Dominant".
Labunskaya V.A. - Features of Self-Attitude of Girls Participating in Castings Who Receive Different Evaluation of their Beauty pp. 33-45

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8701.2017.5.24249

Abstract: The subject of the research is the different types of self-attitudes of girls participating in castings and differing in the evaluation of their beauty by consumers. The object of research is the ìisual presentation of the appearance (photos) of the girls involved in castings as well as evaluation of their appearance based on the scale of «beautiful-ugly». The study involved 50 girls aged 18 to 22 years old, participating in the casting, who had voluntarily agreed to provide images of their appearance for grading them «beautiful-ugly», and participated in psychological testing of their self-attitudes. Experts (consumers) who evaluated appearance of casting participants were 125 female students aged 18 to 22 years old. The research methodology includes the principle of linkages between physical appearance and inner world of the person. At the empirical level this principle implements the system study and evaluations of self- attitudes of outer beauty. The authr's choice to study self- attitudes of girls participating in castings was mainly determined by the fact that the appearance of the person carries information about his or her attitude to his or her self and others, and the fact that one's self- attitude is a factor regulating the entire system of relations, and positive attitude towards yourself and others is a requirement for girls participating in various types of castings. Research methods include questionnaire MRS developed by S. Pantileev, and ten-point scale «beautiful-ugly». To identify differences  inself - attitudes of girls (casting contestants) the author has applied the methods of descriptive statistics, t - criterion paired samples, and Ò- test for independent samples. The main findings of the research are the conclusions that girls who were evaluated as beautiful demonstrate such qualities as self-guidance, and integral self- attitude «autosympathy». They seek to control their behavior, build on their identity, and have a clear image of their goals. Unlike the other girls participating in castings, these girls have a high level of self-acceptance, positive attitude and respect towards themselves. From the practical point of view, these results show the need to take into account the integrity of external and internal perceptions when conducting castings.

Sosnovsky B.A., Kashirsky D.V. - The Thorny Path of Psychology towards "Man with Soul" pp. 98-110

Abstract: The textbook materialistic rejection of the study of the human soul in modern psychology has led to the loss of its primordial subject, which is replaced by a simplified concept of the Psyche (like the Soul) which is not subjected to strict definition. As a result, many facts of the manifestation of an integral soul and primordial spirituality are lost in the constructions of scientific psychology and has not been subjected to convincing conceptual interpretation. The living subject or "person with a soul" (“odushevlennyi” man) is irretrievably lost in numerous models and psychological schemes of personality. This article provides examples of common conceptual psychological simplifications and distortions that automatically lead to inevitable spiritual losses, which are especially expressive and are not allowed in all sections of applied psychology. Effective psychological work is carried out in practice not with individual mental processes, states or properties, but with the whole indivisible human soul. It is the real psychological practice that urgently requires a serious reorganization of scientific psychology, which should become purposefully spiritual and directly addressed to the living human soul. Certain scientific "reserves" in this direction have been already created in domestic science.

Abstract: The subject of the study is a portrait of a personality. Psychological massage is a detailed description of personality characteristics. The unit of personality analysis is the personal meaning. In the aggregate of other meanings, personal meaning forms a hierarchical structure that can be rebuilt in the course of life and, depending on experience, transform the content of meanings in this hierarchy. The object of research is a portrait of a personality studied by methods of psychosemantics to identify the structure, functioning of a system of values, methods of categorization describing a portrait of a personality. Psychosemantic methods are aimed at reconstructing implicit theories of personality and solve the following tasks: connecting the studied meaning of this phenomenon with other meanings, systems of meanings, highlighting and interpreting the most significant among these connections.     The psychosemantic approach to the portrait of a personality is a description of a psychological (semantic) structure that contains properties-signs that can be used to characterize a personality. This structure is formed by various types of values "classifying" this construct as a "psychological portrait" The main conclusions of the study are:1) the use of psychosemantic tools for the interpretation of the "personality portrait" contributes to the disclosure of the characteristics of this phenomenon, namely, how the levels of categorization identified during the study correlate with significant topics describing the psychological portrait; 2) a portrait of a personality is a complex characteristic that reflects the inner world, the orientation of the personality and is a tool for studying a person. The novelty of the research lies in the study of implicit theories of drawing up a psychological portrait, resulting in a model of a psychological portrait.
Berezina T.N. - Four-level regulation of lifespan through the biopsychological clock pp. 146-158

DOI:

EDN: FLSTEG

Abstract: A model of life expectancy regulation through biopsychological clocks of four levels is considered. The first level is represented by the intracellular molecular genetic clock, which is responsible for maximum life expectancy. At the second level, the regulation of activity time occurs (time management), this level is associated with the psychological clock, there is also a connection with the activity of annual and monthly biorhythms. This level is associated with the organization of life path, regulation of lifestyle, and professional longevity of a person. At the third level, wakefulness and sleep are regulated through circadian biorhythms with a period of 20-28 hours. Here the regulation of health and restoration of immunity occurs. The fourth level is associated with the regulation of the rhythms of the respiratory and cardiac systems, the phenomenon of premature death is associated with it, and it is responsible for the cessation of life. We consider regulation from top to bottom, with each level responsible for its own aspect of life expectancy. There is interaction between the levels, but its mechanisms have been little studied. In addition, there are also mechanisms that ensure the autonomous functioning of metabolism at each level. Conclusion: to restore health, prevent sudden death, and potentially increase life expectancy, it is necessary to develop comprehensive strategies that combine all levels of the biopsychological clock.
