Abstract: The author of the article analyzes psychological and spiritual reasons of fear and phobia. The author describes the method of entering the altered state of conscoiusness. According to the author, at the state of altered consciousness one can conduct psychological diagnostics, correction and psychotherapy of negative emotions. The main features of the altered state of consciousness are the following: depth of immersion, energy capacity and through-put capacity. All these features show the quantity of energy that can be received and given by an individual. Research hypothesis: at the altered state of consciousness an individual reaches a new level of consciousness that differs from the conscious state by the quality of information, nature of emotions, strength of thining and amount of psychic energy. This encourages self-discovery, psychological correction and psychotherapy. At the altered state of conciousness an individual can receive information about his emotios, physiological and mental processes from himself. The purposes of the research are the following: a) to study different variants of application of giving the attitude, creating the atmosphere of trust, concentration, suggestion, self-hypnosis and hypnosis as methods of entering the altered state of consciousness; b) to study possibilities that offer the altered state of consciousness for psychological diagnostics, correction and psychotherapy of personal fears; c) to learn to control negative emotions at the altered state of consciousness and use this experience in real life; d) to define special features of perceiving and experiencing fear at the altered state of consciousness. The object of research: emotions, in particular, fear and similar emotions. The author develops a comprehensive method of teaching and self-discovery and provides results of the experimental research of experiencing fear at the altered state of consciousness. Conclusions: the method offered by the author allows to discover one's own mental processes, features, states and personal traits as well as their dynamics. The method is also very useful in psychotherapy because it helps to harmonize psychosomatic condition and develop positive personal traits such as patience, balance, calmness and responsibility for one's actions and words.

Korneenkov S.S. - Concepts of Consciousness: Consciousness as a Special Property of the Matter pp. 271-305

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.3.158

Abstract: The probem of consciousness, mind and matter is one of the most difficult psychological issues in human studies. The purpose of the present article is: 1) to carry out a brief analysis of the main hypotheses of consciousness in different spheres: science, philosophy, religion and yoga, 2) to view the modern approach to the relation between consciousness, mind and matter. The main conclusions made by the author state that consciousness is a universal phenomenon existing in each atom of the matter. The outstanding feature of consciousness is the impulse to live or, in other words, the will to survive and live forever. Researchers majoring in different branches of science tend to divide wholesome consciousness into levels and this creates different theories of consciousness. Recent experiments show that mind is not related to production of consciousness. Mind receives and conveys information and energy and therefore allows human to demonstrate various abilities. Mind creates the model of the surrounding world by the means of neurons. Neurons altogether create models of the outside world. Consciousness can exist outside human body or thin matter and even survive when these are destructed. Consciousness is both material and ideal, in other words, it has the dual nature. The phenomenon of consciousness is not fully understood and there is no science that could clearly explain it. However, there are all grounds to think that science, philosophy, religion and Eastern philosopy find more points of coincidence when solving the problem of consciousness and the source of all being including life of a body and psyce and consciousness of human.

Korneenkov S.S. - Psychological self-exploration and psychotherapy of personality in an altered state of consciousness pp. 38-88

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.1.105

Abstract: This article considers the structure of personality and its sub-personalities. The objectives of the study were: 1) the experimental verification of the capacity for learning, self-discovery and psychotherapy during the integration of the waking and altered states of consciousness; 2) the experimental self-study of personality and its psychological structures (subpersonalities) in an altered state of consciousness; and 3) the process of psychological correction and psychotherapy in an altered state of consciousness; 4) to identify the characteristics of perception, feelings and thinking related to the process of self-identity in an altered state of consciousness. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the author used integral education and self-knowledge technology (IESKT) in waking and altered states of consciousness. IESKT allows for self-diagnosis, therapy and psycho-correction. It allows one to gain knowledge of the peculiarities of one's mental development. The presence of functional asymmetry of the brain leads to the formation and development of the two personalities as a whole. Harmonious development of the individual comes about after the integration of all the fragments of personality (subpersonalities) formed on the basis of psycho-physiological functions of the right and left hemispheres. The article introduces the concepts of "left-brain personality" and "right-brain personality".

Korneenkov S.S. - Psychological Self-Inquiry and Personal Psychotherapy in Altered State of Consciousness pp. 25-75
Abstract: The author of the article studies the structure of personality and its subpersonalities. The purposes of this research are the following: 1)  experimental verification of the abilities to learning, self-inquiry and psychotherapy in the combintion of awakening and altered states of consciousness; 2) experimental self-inquiry of personality and its mental units (subpersonalities) in the altered state of consciousness; 3) conduction of psychotherapy in the altered state of consciousness; 4) determination of the features of perception, feelings and thoughts related to personal self-diagnostics in the altered state of consciousness.  To achieve the set up goals, the author used the integrated technology of learning and self-inquiry in the wakening and altered states of consciousness. This technology allows to carry out self-diagnostics and psychotherapy as well as to learn peculiarities of the mental development. Lateralization of brain functions leads to formation and deelopment of the two personalities as one whole. Harmonious development of an individual is guaranteed by the integration of all personality elements (subpersonalities) formed on the basis of psychophysiological functions of the left and right hemispheres. The author introduces such terms as the 'left hemipshere personality' and the 'right hemisphere personality'.
