Abstract:   It is a known fact that the object of propaganda influence of the terrorists aimed at formation of the extremist consciousness is the youth – representatives of the so-called digital consciousness. Due to these reasons, the article discusses the peculiarities of the clipping style of consciousness and corresponding culture of the generation “Next”. The author reveals the questions of social comprehension, structuring, and functioning of the psychological systems from the perspective of post-modern scientific paradigm. Thus, the psychological ontology manifests as the system construct. In accordance with this, the author examines the specificities of expression of ideology by the virtue of symbolic forms, realized in the texts and images. The work discusses the results of the conducted by the author polylinguistic expertise of the texts on the official website of the International Anti-Terrorist Committee and the regional Internet mass media “Caucasian Knot” over the period of 03/01/2016 – 05/18/2016. The author compares the social markers of texts of the aforementioned information resources, as well as provides the results of discourse analysis of the commentaries to the selected for the extensive psycho-linguistic expertise articles of the “Caucasian Knot”. The article also reviews the determined during the course of the research social risks and information threats of the terrorism, as well as analyzes the ideological countermeasures to terrorism, particularly the role of education in prevention of terrorism and development of various forms of social destructive behaviors, including the extremist.

Abstract: In article features of operation of global communications for development of terrorist ideology and advance of ideas of suicide terrorism are considered, information and psychological ways of the influence which is carried out for training of suicide bombers are analyzed. In this regard the author addresses to a question of a role of mass media in designing of social knowledge and meanings, considering mass media as the diskursivny system participating in production and reproduction of the typified values. In the context of a perspective of formation of extremist consciousness and psychological readiness for suicide terror features of virtual reality, the information environment, designing of media texts, the propaganda receptions and methods of psychological influence which are widely used for involvement of youth in terrorism and training of suicide bombers are analyzed. Need of optimization of information and psychological counteraction of ideology of extremism and terrorism for specific sociohistorical conditions is designated. In this context possibilities of mass communication in formation of anti-terrorist values in the Russian society are considered. The question of development of the pedagogical journalism urged to form social values, belief and to influence the motivational sphere of the personality is staticized. In the context of a perspective of the organization it is information – psychological influence by extremists and implementation of the corresponding counteraction possibilities of secular and religious education are also considered. The question of a role of psychological science in development of information culture and advance of ideas of social dialogue, a consent, solidarity is staticized.

Abstract: The article concerns topical issues of global informatization of the social sphere and intensifying terrorist threats. The author provides grounds for the classification, generalizes the approaches towards defining and understanding the nature of the modern terrorism. The author discusses the issues on the role of the mass communications and information resources in the social construing of the terrorism phenomenon, analyzing means of information-related and psychological influence, which are organized by the extremists in order to popularize radical ideology, to form "extremist mind" and active involvement of the youth in the terrorist activities.  Due to this the author discusses specific means and methods of development of social rhetoric, organization of convincing influences and formation of loyalty towards radical social and political ideals and destructive means of achieving them.  The author analyzes social and psychological specificities of propaganda in the Internet, which is aimed at forming loyal attitudes towards extremist ideas and moral legitimation of violence. The author studies the technologies of the virtual virus marketing, which is based on the phenomenon of the psychological contamination, and which is aimed at the development of the social fashion, sanctioning certain types of behavior.  The author points out the need for the further studies of the terrorism phenomenon within the context of the ongoing processes of informatization and globalization of threats.  Special attention is paid to the need for the efficient use of information resources in order to optimize anti-terrorist influences and development of the system of information -  psychological counteraction against the terrorist and extremist ideologies.

Abstract: The article analyzes social, psychological and political prerequisites for developing terrorism under the conditions of the risk society. The author views the processes of anomia caused by intensified terrorist activities and analyzes social motives and ideology of modern terrorism. As a part of global informatization of social space and risk construction, the author analyzes certain peculiarities of mass media that allow leaders of terrorist organizations exercise information and psychological influence and attract young people to participate in terrorist activities. The author also describes certain propaganda and manipulative techniques used to promote extremism ideology and legitimize violence. The author also pays attention at objectives and means of psychological war and views a terrorist act as a psychological method. The author also brings into focus the issue of involving women into terrorist activity for the purpose of moral legitimization of violence. The author outlines perspectives of future researches to be made in order to improve terrorism prevention methods in particular social and historical conditions.

Abstract: This article presents the results of studies of victims of a terrorist attack that took place in Volgodonsk on 16 September 1999 (explosion of a house at 35 October Highway) and looks at the specific understanding and interpretation of the consequences of terrorist acts. The article also presents a range of features of the social perception of the threat of terrorism and the role of mass media in shaping social attitudes in relation to terrorism and the social construction of this phenomenon. In this context the article considers language as a psycholinguistic structure and as a factor underlying the psychological experience of individuals. To this end, the article discusses issues in relation to the ICT impact of mass media reports on terrorist activities. It presents the need for a comprehensive study of terrorism in terms of the information-psychological threats of the day and for specialized preventive activities designed to reduce the negative social impact of terrorist acts as well as the optimization of information-psychological counterterrorism.

Abstract: The article analyzes terrorism as an information and psychological threat. The author analyzes mass media as a discursive system and their role in social construction of the terrorism phenomena. The author suggests methods of studying peculiarities of information and psychological influence of mass media messages about terrorism for the purpose of organization of efficient information and psychological reponse.

Sedykh N.S. - Terrorist threats and global risks of today: psychological and political analysis pp. 44-79
Abstract: The article analyzes terrorism within the context of modern globalization process, informational and psychological threats. Social, psychological and political preconditions of terrorism, as well as the influence of global risk factors on terrorist activity, are being explored. The author reveals defining traits of the development of terrorism as both, a form of social protest, and as a way of securing social, political and economic interests. Isolated cases of terrorist aggression are analyzed in relevance to problems of informational and psychological influence, as well as several forms of propaganda and manipulation used for extremist ideology popularization in relevance to global informatization of society. With that said, the author points out the purposeful destabilizing informational and psychological influence on society, breeding fear in the "face of terror" among the wide population, and distrust to democratic regimes which are unable to protect the citizens from terrorist acts. In conclusion, the author lays out potential for further research, explaining the necessity for creation of practically oriented communication technology and purposeful constructive socially-stabilizing rhetoric, aiming at deconstruction of extremism and terrorism as its extension.
