Rozin V.M. - The limits of life and sex of the modern outcast pp. 1-105

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.2.400

Abstract: This article considers sexual relations which are characteristic of Russian and non-Russian outcast figures. It discusses the social conditions (new media, hedonistic setting, crisis of morality, etc.) which have allowed outcasts to trade their bodies and feelings while remaining entirely normal members of society. It suggests that for many of them, an ambivalent personality is normal. The article also provides reasons which justify this hypothesis. Even if the sex does not become pathological, 'outcast love' has different and often very negative consequences for ordinary intimate relationships. Since this 'love' helps to cultivate a secondary personality, one which lives for dreams and their implementation, and given that it provokes sex instead of love because such "love" impoverishes, it sometimes destroys the usual intimate relationships and life. In this regard, there is some discussion of the relevant views of Foucault in his later years and of ethical issues related to the topic.

Parkhomenko R.N. - Boris Chicherin on religion and freedom pp. 106-137

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.2.147

Abstract: This article looks at the life of Boris Chicherin (1828-1904) with respect to his ideological and philosophical development. The role of religion in the development of his concept of liberalism is also discussed. The method and scope of the philosophical interests of Chicherin, a well-known Russian lawyer, philosopher and public figure, can be best described as "scientific metaphysics" because he always wanted to look beyond the boundaries of positivism and empiricism as well as the national religious and mystical traditions. Chicherin believed that any common principles can and should be explained by experience and that the real world needs be illuminated by the "light" of philosophical truths. He assigned a special role to logic and science as aides to our perception of the world. The article details the methodological aspects of Chicherin's philosophy, which can be referred to as "metaphysical universalism", and considers his thoughts on freedom and law.

Kulagina N.V. - Intrapersonal gender conflict in occupational roles of men and women: the state of the problem and some ways to solve it pp. 138-228

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.2.276

Abstract: This article describes the phenomenon of "intrapersonal gender conflict in occupational roles", a relatively new concept in modern psychology which manifests itself in modern men and women. The causes, the maladaptive and destructive effects on mental and physical health, the process of personal and professional self-actualization, and the sphere of interpersonal relations are shown through an analysis of the results of studies undertaken by various researchers. The article also provides results of empirical studies of interpersonal manifestations of gender conflict in the occupational roles of modern men and women who work in so-called "gender-typical" and "gender-atypical" occupations. It lists the personal characteristics (identified empirically by the author) which can help individuals to avoid or overcome the negative impact of the factors contributing to the emergence of gender conflict in occupational roles. In addition, the article presents solutions to this problem by codifying effective ways, suggested by various authors, in which to correct intrapersonal gender conflicts. These ideas will be useful in the practice of psychologists, therapists, and other professionals involved in dealing with psychological problems.

Berezina T.N. - The reserve abilities on the tree of human evolution pp. 229-257

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.2.260

Abstract: This article deals with the position of psychic abilities on the evolutionary tree of humans. It analyzes publications about psychic phenomena over the last two centuries as well as the writing of A.G. Li, R. Dzhan and others. The analysis shows a complete lack of progress: researchers have conducted the same experiments in order to explain the same ideas again and again. The article takes note of the paradox of psychic phenomena: no one can prove or deny their existence. It provides examples of phenomena in the same order as other living species: simple organisms, worms, cephalopods, birds and monkeys. It is assumed that any new ability appears in the evolutionary sequence twice: first as unstable accident and, at a later stage, as a stable ability. Perhaps this is true of psychic abilities also. The article proposes directions for future research in order to study the nature of psychic abilities. It argues that the issue of reserve abilities can be clarified only after we understand the mechanisms of the functioning of psychic abilities.

Sukiasyan S.G., Tadevosyan M.Y. - The Role of Personality in the Development of Combat PTSD pp. 258-308

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.2.252

It is indicated that trauma impact can develop not only PTSD symptoms, but also symptoms related with personality disorders. It is determined that hostility and distrustfulness, the feeling of being exhausted and hopeless, permanent self- transformed feeling, high rate of anxiety and low rate of subjective control become the nucleus of personality transformation. Description of posttrau-matic personality transformation (in combat PTSD) is submitted.Key words: combat stress, posttraumatic stress disorder, pretraumatic features, intratraumatic personality disorders, posttraumatic personality disorders, posttraumatic personality transfor-mation, accentuated personality, personality transformation.
