DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.4.767

Abstract: The article is devoted to the develpment of dynamic views on self-concept and identity in terms of general, developmental and social psychology. The author of the artile shows that the idea about the changing Self has been established through recognition of social subject's activity, objective numerosity of the grounds for self-identification and potential manifestations of Self structures and their temporary modes. The author underlines the important role of the actual social environment as the situation of social changes in development of these views, especially in social and psychological analysis. She establishes that an important task for a modern human is to understand the meaning of the changing social environment for him personally. This makes the majority of social and psychological approches to studying Self to pay attention to the diversity and probability of personal Self structures which reflects the influence of general gnoseological principles of Post-Modernism on the development of these concepts. In conclusion the author views the manifestations of the identity crisis under the conditions of social changes ongoing in Russia now.

Korneenkov S.S. - Spiritual and Perinatal Psychology: Peculiarities of Restrospective Experience in the Altered State of Consciousness (Empirical Research) pp. 1-73

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2014.6.13645

Abstract: Questions of perinatal psychology are considered. The theoretical and pilot study is constructed on the following hypotheses. The first: the person is a spontaneous being, all information in the period of a razvoploshchyonny state, and also during the perinatal period of development is stored in his soul. The second: being in meditation, the individual is capable to remember mental states and experiences which he experienced till the birth.Research problems: 1. To study scientific and yogichesky literature on a problem: a) unifications of consciousness of soul and mind of a fruit during the perinatal period of life of the individual; b) soul life during the previous period of its embodiment in a body of the person. 2. To check practical opportunities of integrated technology of training and self-knowledge in the awake and changed conditions of consciousness when studying the academic disciplines in higher education institution. 3. To conduct a pilot study of experiences, perception and thinking of the individual in the changed condition of consciousness during the different periods of perinatal development and during the period preceding entry of soul into a material body of the person.Object of research: the changed condition of consciousness. Research subject: features of perception, thinking and experience of individual consciousness: a) to a meeting with the impregnated ovum; b) at the moment and after formation of a zygote; c) in the first days of life of the child. The integrated technology of training and self-knowledge (ÈÒÎèÑ) developed by the author in awake and the changed conditions of consciousness (CCC) was applied. Entry into ISS was carried out by means of the following methods: installation, control, concentration, music, meditation, hypnosis, auto-suggestion, prayer, sonastroyka. For the first time in domestic and world psychology and pedagogics integrated approach of training and self-knowledge in unity of the awake and changed conditions of consciousness is offered, approved and introduced in practice.New data on psychological features of perception, thinking and experiences during the perinatal period of development of the individual, and also at the moment previous meetings of a spermatozoon and an ovum, soul and a physical body are obtained.Mastering meditation allows to perceive consciously "other" reality, to accept the inner world and surrounding reality as a unit. Deep immersion in itself promotes approach of rest, harmony, knowledge, purity, fills consciousness of the personality with force and energy. An inner world the same reality for our consciousness, as well as external. It is possible to carry out self-research, self-training according to goals to meditations, to study a theoretical and practical course of psychology and pedagogics, anatomy and physiology, and also any discipline provided by the program of training in higher education institution.
Subbotsky E. - The impossibility of the matrix: The magic of subjective reality pp. 1-30

DOI:
10.7256/2409-8701.2015.2.14193

Abstract: The paper discusses the problems that arise regarding the relationships between the brain and subjective experience. Can robots create in humans the illusion of subjective experiences? Is it really so that a person who is immersed in the world of artificially created subjective experience is unable to exit this world without assistance? What is better: enjoying life in the world of illusions, or struggling for life and happiness in the harsh world of true reality? The analysis has shown that even if the computer technologies of the future became dozens of times more powerful than modern technologies, we can’t expect that people with the help of computers, not to mention computers in their own right, would be able to create the authentic copy of subjective experiences. The reason is that subjective experience is a magical phenomenon. This phenomenon is given to a person, but it is not determined by physical causes. The versions of artificially created subjective experiences, such as hallucinations cased by illness or mental experiences caused by stimulation of brain cortex with electric charges or chemical compounds, are imitations of subjective experiences and not authentic subjective experience. During the altered states of consciousness, of shortly after, the person is sensing that these imitations are nothing more than illusions of reality. Novelty: For the first time the phenomenon of human subjectivity is being analyzed in the context of recent studies of magical thinking. Conclusions: (1) subjective experience is a magical, and not a physical phenomenon; (2) modern views on the structure of brain processes, computer and other cognitive models are derived from human subjective experiences; they can imitate subjective experiences (such as thinking, perception and feelings), but they are not identical with subjective experiences in their own right; (3) neuroscience and cybernetics will be creating increasingly more perfect interfaces between machines and subjective reality of consciousness, but there will always remain an insurmountable gap between physical processes and authentic subjective experience.
Berezina T.N. - Understanding and Recognition of Mental Images of the Highest Order pp. 1-32

DOI:
10.7256/2409-8701.2015.3.15431

Abstract: In her article Berezina analyzes the phenomenon of understanding and recognition of visual information contained in the mental images of the highest order. Berezina bases her research on the previously established model of images - integrators of different orders according to which evident information is generalized irrespective of verbal, forming more and more becoming complicated educations. In model it is claimed that images of the first order - photographic images, the second order – classical secondary images; the third order – the generalized images, images of the fourth order – spatial similar educations; images of the fifth order – nonverbal standards of moral, philosophical, mathematical generalizations. Understanding of images of the highest orders is considered in the context of the psychosemantic theory of consciousness by V.F.Petrenko to become conscious, they have to be built in system of the relations with values of the language thesaurus. However, according to the author's assumption, images of the highest orders – polimodalna, also include not only generalized figurative, on and audialny information, in other words, possess the sounding; sounding can be presented by the incoherent sounds generalized by parts of words, and also mechanically imprinted by phrases. According to classical representations, the understanding occurs when the word connects to image, this situation in article is supplemented with a condition that the original understanding occurs if the imprinted pervosignalny soundings as a part of images of the highest orders at least partially coincide with soundings of words by which this category is defined.
Rostovtseva M.V., Gudovskii I.V., Goncharova T.M., Khokhrina Z.V. - Analysis of the Relationship Between Personal Value Systems Psychological Adaptation Mechanisms pp. 1-9

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8701.2017.4.23415

Abstract: The subject of the research is the relationshp between value systems and psychological adaptation mechanisms of students. The research involved 5-year students of the Siberian Federal University. The researchers have discovered that the state of psychological disadaptation causes students lose their focus on life values and reduces prospects for personal development. Maladjusted respondents were focused on their health (vital needs) and excluded from the cultural life ignoring meta values (learning and creative self-realisation). There were no significant differences between values of students with low and high levels of adaptability. However, the greater part of adapated students tend to choose 'professional and personal growth' as an important life value. The main research methods were psychological tests such as Rokeach Value Survey, Mental State Self-Assessment (after Hans Eysenk), and Depression Scale (adapted by G. Balashova). The results of the research prove that there is a relationship between value system and psychological adaptation mechanisms. In general, both groups of respondents (adapated and disadapted students) choose similar terminal values (health), however, there are significant differences in their choice of instrumental values.

EDN: IBRAYA

Abstract: The subject of the study is a psychological program aimed to increase the level of emotional intelligence in children's coaches of sports associations. To date, the problem of emotional intelligence is expressed in contradiction, where, on the one hand, a child needs the necessary emotional support during training and competitions, on the other hand, there are insufficient funds in the scientific literature to improve it. The purpose of the work is to develop a program to increase the level of emotional intelligence among children's coaches of sports sections. The study was conducted with 21 trainers of children's sports sections on the basis of the youth "Technical Design Center" in the city of Krasnoyarsk. A program was developed to increase emotional intelligence among children's coaches of sports sections. It was built in accordance with a certain logic of working with emotions, which includes awareness of one's own and others' emotions in various situations, mastering the ability to manage one's own and others' emotions and mastering the ability to manage one's behavior in non-standard situations. The program, tested on a group of trainers, helped to increase their emotional intelligence. The results of this study can find practical application in various fields of psychological practice: psychological education, counseling, etc. They can be used in the development of professional training programs, retraining and advanced training of teachers – trainers.
Kudinov S.I., Kudinov S.S., Kudinova S.S. - Features of the Manifestation of Patriotism among Students with Different Attitudes to a Special Military Operation pp. 1-13

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8701.2023.2.39910

EDN: JKKLHE

Abstract: The article presents the results of an empirical study characterizing the dependence of the manifestation of patriotism and attitude to a special military operation among students. The relevance of the research is due to the socio-political transformations of the domestic and foreign policy of the state, which require a revision of the system of patriotic education of young people based on basic, national and historical values. Changes in the architecture of interstate relations require the restructuring of the formation of a person who is ready to defend the priorities of his country in various spheres of life, which is impossible without a true patriotic attitude to his homeland. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was a systematic approach developed by domestic researchers B.F. Lomov, V.S. Merlin, V.D. Nebylitsin, A.I. Krupnov, etc.; a holistic and functional approach to the study of personality traits and character traits (Krupnov, 1994), studies of patriotism (Kudinov, 2017,2018; Gavrilushkin, 2012; Lutovinov, 1997; Potemkin, 2009; etc.). The questionnaire "Patriogram" was used to study patriotism (Kudinov, Potemkin, 2008). To identify the attitude of students to a special military operation, an author's questionnaire was developed. The results of the study on a sample of 109 students of Moscow universities, followed by mathematical and statistical analysis, allowed us to establish statistically significant differences between the indicators of patriotism among students with different attitudes to a special military operation. In general, it was found that there is no direct relationship between the indicators of patriotism and a positive attitude to the special operation. Low indicators of patriotism are also not directly related to a negative attitude towards their own. The empirical data obtained indicate that the students consider patriotism in a broad context and does not associate this personal property with confrontation in relation to the outside world. The results of the study prove the need to improve educational activities aimed at the formation and development of patriotism at different stages of education.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the personal, social and behavioral components of emotional burnout among medical specialists. The empirical object of the study was 340 physicians of different specialties, ages and work experience. Based on theoretical analysis, the authors of the study identify the main internal components of emotional burnout among medical specialists: the personal component (a range of certain personal characteristics and states), the social component (relationships with other people, including colleagues and patients), and the behavioral component (professional and motivational orientation of the individual and stress resistance). The methodological basis of the study is the component model of internal manifestations of emotional burnout, which consists of three components. The study used the testing method and the projective method. It was found that emotional burnout is typical (from moderate to extremely high levels) for 309 people (90.9%). The scientific novelty of the study should be considered the use of a three-component model of emotional burnout internal factors. The study determined that overall work experience has no correlation with the manifestations of emotional burnout, but young and mature age contribute to it. Target points were identified for the prevention and psychological correction of emotional burnout among medical specialists of various specialties. Programs can be drawn up based on the manifestations of each component in doctors with a high level of emotional burnout.

Novgorodova E.F. - Self-Respect as a Mediator between Socially Prescribed Perfectionism and Satisfaction with Life pp. 16-24

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8701.2018.1.24174

Abstract: The life quality of Russian youth and psychological indicators of improving their life quality still remain nettlesome. One of such indicators is self-respect viewed by the author of the present article. The aim of the research was to build a determination model of subjective well-being for young people. For this purpose, the author carried out an empirical research. The author tested the causal model of mediation of life satisfaction that involves socially prescribed perfectionism as an independent variable and self-respect as a mediator. The research involved 268 vocational students aged 16 - 20 years old (the mean age is 17,3 ± 1,3). Data was collected using the following psychologists tests and inventories: Global Life Satisfaction Scale (S. Yaremchuk), 'Multi-Dimensional Perfectionism Scale' (I. Gracheva) and 'Self-Attitude Inventory (V. Stolin and S. Pantileeva). The results were processed using the correlation analysis and demonstrated that there is a significant co-relation between all variables viewed whereas p=0,001. In particular, satisfaction with life has a negative correlation to self-respect of repondents. Results of the regression analysis of data also demonstrate that self-respect fully conditions the relation between socially prescribed perfectionism and satisfaction with life. Thus, self-respect of an individual is not only associated with the level of satisfactin with life and socially prescribed perfectionism but also determines this co-relation. The author demonstrates that a high level of anxeity and fear not to fulfil expectations of close ones reduces one's satisfaction with life as a result of low self-respect. Consequently, the author of the article proves the improving role of self-respect in the process of regulating the life quality of modern youth.

The goal is set to reveal distinctive characteristics of socio-psychological attractiveness of the image of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk in perception of students of two specialties. Experimental psychosemantics became a methodical framework for comprehensive study of structural-substantive characteristics and attractiveness of the image of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. The research applies the method of group associative experiment that allowed reconstructing and describing the image of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk by calculating the semantic closeness. The authors reveal and delineate the peculiarities of structural-substantive characteristics of socio-psychological attractiveness of the image of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. It is established that some of such characteristics reflect the key assessment criteria of the environment: economic, climatic, ecological, architectural, cultural, political, evaluative and other, which presence within structure of the image is confirmed by both, theoretical and empirical data. The authors determine that students of the disciplines “Graphic Design” and “Psychology” have similar structural-substantive characteristics that allow not only reconstructing the image, but also outlining the attributes of socio-psychological attractiveness of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. This is the first study of representations on urbanized environment and its psychological attractiveness in the Russian Far East.

Subbotsky E. - Excurstion to the World Behind the Looking-Glass: Magic Thinking in the Modern World pp. 30-73

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2014.4.12322

Abstract: In article questions are considered: What is the magic reality? This reality gets into what spheres of life of the modern person? In what the reason of penetration of magic reality into life of the modern person? To what consequences can lead such penetration? In the ancient time and the Middle Ages access to magic reality was provided by religion or alternative religions of practice: witchcraft, sorcery, astrology, alchemy. During the Renaissance era art joined them. In the XIX century there was a movement of a spiritualizm, in XX – parapsychology. At last at the end of XX - the beginning of the XXI century there are portable interactive forms of visual representation of magic reality – computer games and the Internet, and a wide circulation of individual electronic displays (laptops, ah-pedov, of iPhones, etc.) brought the interactive world of a world behind the looking-glass into a family and a nursery. Psychological researches showed that the belief in the magic world at the modern person didn't disappear, and left deep into the unconscious. This hidden belief sprouts to all spheres of modern life: economy, policy, medicine, morals, entertainments, education, even in physics and science about a brain. Why children "sit down" on games in which they possess magic force? Why rational people often make economically unprofitable decisions? How it turns out, what the educated people can accept opinion of politicians which contradicts its radical interests? Why in medicine the effect of placebo works? From where at terrorists, both during war, and during the world, such fanatical determination and strength of mind? How it is possible, what even in the absence of supervision, in themselves, some people choose good, but not angrily, acting contrary to own benefit? Why physiologists call work of a brain as "magic"? The answer to these and other questions – in extramental belief of the modern person in supernatural. Novelty: (1) For the first time some phenomena in the sphere of children's game, policy, economy, medicine, morals, and science about a brain are considered in the context of the last psychological researches of magic thinking; (2) Also consideration of historical evolution of access for the person to magic reality, and also consequences of contact with this reality for the individual and society is new. Conclusions: (1) The magic thinking during which known laws of physics can be broken, of biology and psychology, widely practices in the modern world in the form of entertainments, games, and other kinds of activity based on imagination; (2) Both children, and educated adults, consciously or unconsciously, trust in possibility of the supernatural; (3) This hidden belief generates specific effects in different spheres of life: to policy, economy, medicine, the moral sphere, the sphere of entertainments, even in the sphere of science; (4) The wide circulation of interactive electronic displays facilitates access for the modern person to the imagined world of the supernatural; (5) As a result the probability of influence of the hidden belief in supernatural on behavior of the person increases.

Korneenkov S.S. - Psychological self-exploration and psychotherapy of personality in an altered state of consciousness pp. 38-88

DOI:
10.7256/2306-0425.2013.1.105

Abstract: This article considers the structure of personality and its sub-personalities. The objectives of the study were: 1) the experimental verification of the capacity for learning, self-discovery and psychotherapy during the integration of the waking and altered states of consciousness; 2) the experimental self-study of personality and its psychological structures (subpersonalities) in an altered state of consciousness; and 3) the process of psychological correction and psychotherapy in an altered state of consciousness; 4) to identify the characteristics of perception, feelings and thinking related to the process of self-identity in an altered state of consciousness. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the author used integral education and self-knowledge technology (IESKT) in waking and altered states of consciousness. IESKT allows for self-diagnosis, therapy and psycho-correction. It allows one to gain knowledge of the peculiarities of one's mental development. The presence of functional asymmetry of the brain leads to the formation and development of the two personalities as a whole. Harmonious development of the individual comes about after the integration of all the fragments of personality (subpersonalities) formed on the basis of psycho-physiological functions of the right and left hemispheres. The article introduces the concepts of "left-brain personality" and "right-brain personality".

DOI:
10.25136/2409-8701.2021.5.29507

Abstract: The subject of this research is the indicators of attitude on the lending to individuals with different level of self-actualization. This article examines the differences in attitudes to lending among individuals with different levels of self-actualization. The hypothesis was tested that the higher is the level of self-actualization, the more is the likelihood of referring to constructive ways of coping with the loan debt. For verification of the hypothesis, the article employs the questionnaire “Attitude to Loans” (A. N. Demin, O. V. Kireeva, E. Y. Pedanova), Self-actualization test (SAT) by E. Shostrom (adapted by Y. E. Aleshin, L. Y. Gozman, M. V. Zagika and M. V. Kroz). The link is established between certain indicators of self-actualization, awareness and motiv for lending. It is determined that self-actualizing individuals are willing to render financial assistance in form of loans to others; while individuals with low level of self-actualization are not willing to take on a loan for others. The conclusion is made that the borrowers with low indicators of self-actualization are characterized with low level of self-acceptance, spontaneity and resistance to aggression; they are aware of the experience of relatives and friends in receiving loans; the believe that loan would help them to accomplish their dream in the nearest future and not willing to take on loan to solve other people's problems. In the subgroup of the borrowers with high level of self-actualization correlation is established between the indicators of self-actualization that characterize the peculiarities of worldview and creativity of self-actualizing personality, awareness and motives for lending. The representatives of the subgroup “pseudo-self-actualization” are characterized with low level of creativity and fear to take on loans. The acquired results can be implemented within the framework of correctional and developmental work with the borrowers and debtors.

Abstract: From the mid-1990s, there has been a certain scale of discussion in Chinese academic circles around the concept of mental health. In these conditions, the study of the subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents has gained great importance, which has overall determined the relevance of the research topic. The article is dedicated to the issue of subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents and contains the following research objective - to identify the internal factors of subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents in their relationship with other elements of personality structure. Special attention is paid to studying the influence of activity on the subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents. The diagnostic methods used in the study were: the "Psychological Well-being Scale" by C. Riff, the Proactive Attitudes Scale, and the General Self-Efficacy Questionnaire by R. Schwarzer. The obtained data were analyzed using mathematical-statistical methods (calculation of mean values, standard deviation, Shapiro-Wilk criterion, non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis dispersion analysis, regression and cluster analysis). As a result of the empirical research, it was found that more than half of all surveyed Chinese adolescents have high proactivity, characterized by traits such as initiative, decisiveness, self-confidence, the ability to quickly adapt to changes in the environment, plan, and actively build their future. Thus, adolescents with a proactive behavior model evaluate their subjective well-being higher than adolescents with low activity. The study concludes on the high role of proactivity in shaping the subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents, which can be considered in the development of measures to improve the psychological well-being of Chinese adolescents. The results of the study are consistent with other contemporary research data on mental well-being, the high level of which is ensured by voluntary regulation and proactive activities in educational activities.

Abstract: The subject of the study is coping behavior in a situation of experiencing a personal crisis. The empirical object of the study was young people who are an important resource of socio-economic transformations in our society. The age period itself, from a psychological point of view, is a time of personality formation, active entry into new types of activities, social roles, self-realization. However, the postmodern world sets a very high pace of human existence, the change of life situations and orientations occurs abruptly, almost instantly, which causes a high stress load on young people, against the background of awareness of the mismatch of external circumstances and semantic structures of personality, there is an experience of a personal crisis, the negative consequence of which is its socio-psychological maladaptation. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that it is based on the three-component model of L.G. Zhedunova, based on which methods were selected to diagnose the experience of personal crisis in young people. It turned out that more than half of the young people studied are in a state of experiencing a personal crisis. The peculiarity of their coping behavior is the predominant use of the strategies of "distancing" and "avoidance", they tend to ignore the strategy of "taking responsibility". They are also characterized by a tendency to exaggerate existing problems, an increased level of anxiety, low mood, passivity, poor health, increased sensitivity, impressionability, vulnerability, lack of leadership qualities, the predominance of intrapersonal conflict consisting in the confrontation of two contradictory traits – conformity and nonconformism, the predominance of motivation to avoid failures, a tendency to conflict behavior. The data obtained can be useful for both psychological consultants and representatives of psychological support services, since the identified features of young people in a state of experiencing a personal crisis can become targets of psychological assistance to overcome it.

Abstract: The article presents the results of the study which identifies the concatenation between loneliness and the degree of suicidal risk among teenagers and the elderly. Subject being examined: loneliness and suicidal risk from the point of view of their concatenation among teenagers and the elderly. The methods which were used are the Differential Questionnaire showing the Experience of Loneliness (E. N. Osin, D. A. Leontiev), the method of diagnosing the level of subjective feeling of loneliness (D. Russell, M. Ferguson), the method «Map of the risk of suicides» (modified by L. B. Schneider), the SAD PERSONS Scale (Patterson et al.), Hopelessness Inventory (A. Beck), mathematical and statistical analysis. The study is novel in that it is for the first time when the system of concatenation between the experience of loneliness and suicidal tendencies among teenagers and the elderly was developed. As part of the study, there was established the concatenation between the experience of loneliness and the level of suicidal risk in both groups among those being examined. The research shows that the subjective understanding of the level of one's real loneliness as high, the negative attitude towards one's loneliness and the dependence on communication are associated with a high level of suicidal risk, while the positive attitude towards loneliness and a low degree of experiencing real loneliness are associated with a low level of suicidal risk. The results obtained prove that there is a way to overcome the negative aspects of loneliness and reduce the number of suicides, which is connected with a change of one's attitude towards loneliness, the ability to self-control, the ability to find and use the internal and external resources of the individual. The conclusions reached will be useful for both psychologists and professionals working with teenagers and elderly citizens.
