Knyazeva, E. N. - Enactive Mind: New Constructivist’s Paradigm in Cognitive Science. pp. 16-26
Abstract: The article considers the new paradigm of enactivism in cognitive science. Cognitive psychology is an important element of this paradigm. Mind is viewed as an active and interactive and cognitive activity of the mind is performed through invasion into the reality, e.g. its enactivation. It is shown that enactivism is based on the theory of autopoiesis developed by Humberto Maturana and Francisco Valera at the end of 1960th. The author also describes the parallels with the ideas of constructivism and radical constructivism in epistemology.

Modeling the unconscious

Abstract: The article is devoted to the issues connected with the analysis of the phenomenon of creativity, in particular, the insight act. The main results of cognitive processing of information are provided by unconscious processes (the stage of the idea incubation). However, since the unconscious is not controlled by the conscious mind, it is impossible to receive any introspective knowledge here. Consequently, it raises the task of developing such a model which would allow to view the reality depending on the observer’s position. In this case we shall see that the ‘unconscious’ processes are a quite familiar part of our everyday experience.

Abstract: The article describes educational activities at any age as a synonymous to ‘teaching’. Modern psychology and teaching often view human as a complex self-developing system which makes existing approaches to educational activities quite ineffective. The author of the article concludes that, based on the position of post non-classic point of view, interactions of such complex systems with the environment require completely new strategies of organization of students’ educational activities.

Zherlygina, A. V. - Differences between Free Verbal Associations in Native and Foreign Languages. pp. 75-79
Abstract: The article describes the results of the free associative experiment held between students of Moscow Teachers’ Training University who were specialized in English. Students were given 15 words in both languages. They answered very quickly, without thinking, in a corresponding language. Then the author studied similarities and differences in English and Russian verbal associations and measured how fast the response was. It was concluded that the better a student knew English, the faster his response was while the types of associations used were the same in both languages.
