L. V. Krivyh - Place and Role of Nonverbal Communication in Educational Process. pp. 0-0
Abstract: Long ago Europe “gifted” the world with the two types of education and, at the same time, two ways of receiving knowledge. One of them involved exchanging information through direct communication by using words. The other assumed that work with written texts was the main condition for getting knowledge. The latter actually appears more effective when it comes to accumulating and transmitting direct knowledge as well as transferring information collected by the preceding generations.
Rozenova, M. I. - Teaching the Value of Love pp. 0-0
Abstract: having been studying the problem of love for the past few years, the author has eventually come to the thought that it is necessary to view this topic from the point of view of education and “upbringing” in the broader sense of the word. Love appears to be one of the most important issues when it comes to a productive life support and good reproduction of any society.
Talanov, V. M. - Pygmalion syndrome and education pp. 0-0
Abstract: The ignorance has always been there but it has become particularly dangerous nowadays because it is hitting all spheres of the social and human life and hindering us from solving the most difficult global and local problems. So it is the very time to start thinking about the main problem, - the many-sided problem of ignorance. The author of the article touched upon only one side of it: the aspect related to creativity and natural attachment of the creator to his work…

Uruntaeva, G. A. - K. D. Ushinsky’s problem of studying a child pp. 0-0
Abstract: Resume: When talking about studying a child by a teacher, Konstantin Ushinsky mostly based on his understanding of pedagogy as a science and art of teaching. This led to clarifying teacher’s professional duties and a new approach to the subject of pedagogy. When viewing the relations between pedagogy and psychology, Ushinsky pointed out how important it is for a teacher to know developmental psychology and to focus on practical side of studying a child by following the principle of “wholeness” and using the method of observation.

Evsevicheva, I. V., Lyubimova, G. Yu. - Professional Training as a Life Choice pp. 0-0
Abstract: The author used the method of interview to study the reasons which caused 10 graduates to enroll in the university again and to get another degree in psychology. It was found out that less than half of participants were actually going to ‘work as psychologists’. The author makes a suggestion that psychological education has an independent value. It can be viewed as a stage of personal growth disregarding training for future profession.

Aptikieva L.R., Aptikiev A.K., Bursakova M.S. - On the Problem of Studying the Criminogenic Orientation of Teenager Personality pp. 1-15

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2016.12.22976

Abstract: The subject of the research is the criminal character of a teenager as an attribute and dynamic personality trait that is fundamentally based on a set of negative (criminogenic) personality traits and illegal (antisocial) motives that determine a teenager's inclination to choose unlawful ways and means to satisfy his or her desires and needs. As follows from its contents, criminogenic orientation is represented by the following parameters: social relationships with adults and peers, personal traits, idea of his or her future and his or her subjective attitude towards it. The authors of the article conducted an empirical research aimed at a detailed analysis of the research subject. The authors based their research on the supposition that a set of negative (criminogenic) personality traits of a teenager is a certain consistent combination of several, not just one, interrelated features including: distorted system of life values, chronic conflicts in relations with adults and peers, hostility and aggression, inadequate vision of his or her future, accentuation of personality traits, emotional instability, undeveloped or low level of self-concept, psychological inclination towards delinquent behavior, and external locus of control. According to the authors, the prevailing motives of violations committed by teenagers include the following groups of antisocial motives: desire to have a revenge, to become a leader among peers, to get material benefits, to look like others, to act as others insist on, to hide a crime that has been committed, etc. In order to conduct an empirical research of criminogenic orientation of teenager personalities, the following mehods have been chosen by the authors: The Conscience Scale by V. Melnikov and L. Yampolsky, Pathocharacterlogical Diagnostic Questionnaire by A. Lichko and N. Ivanov, Teenager Locus of Control Inventory  by O. Eliseev, Aggression Inventory by Buss-Durkey, The Level of Admission of Guilt by the Convict by N. Kreydun and E. Polivanova, Sack's Sentence Completion Test, Rokich's Values Test, E. Saenko's Behavior and Symbol. To assess the psychological inclination towards delinquent behavior, the authors have used the method developed by the consulting and humanities center 'Razvitie' (Development) (Vologda) called Antisocial Behavior Inventory. To define the leading motives of violation commitment the authors have used stories offered by L. Bozhovish and describing conflict situations when a teenager has to make a moral choice as well as essays offered by P. Belsky. Criteria for selecting methodological tools included theoretical provisions about criminogenic orientation of teenagers (including elements of such orientation). The research results have demonstrated that teenager criminogenic orientation is evident as negative (criminogenic) personality traits and antisocial motives. The scientific novelty of the research is ucased by the fact that the authors offer their definition of criminogenic orientation and describe elements of such orientation. Practical significance is due to the fact that the study is aimed at improving the activities of the psychological education service, units for juvenile affairs in the aspect of early prevention and correction of the criminal character of the person. By using mathematical statistical methods (correlation and factor analysis), the authors have defined six factors that should be the main factors in the process of correction and early prevention of criminogenic activity. These factors include: a) inclination towards aggression and hospitality; b) selection of illegal ways of satisfaction one's needs and desires; c) manifestation of negative emotions and accumulation of negative feelings; d) blaming others and circumstances for what happens in one's life; e) distorted life values; f) defected social relations.

Zubova L.V., Aptikieva L.R., Bursakova M.S. - On the Issue of Preventing and Correcting the Criminal Nature of the Adolescent's Personality pp. 1-22

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2017.1.23288

Abstract: The subject of the research is the conditions for preventing and correcting the criminal nature of the adolescent's personality defined by the authors as a qualitative and dynamic characteristic of the personality (its variability, susceptibility to correction and correction), the fundamental basis of which is the set of criminogenic qualities of the person and antisocial, illegal motives that cause the tendency of a teenager to choose illegal means to satisfy his desires and needs. Substantially criminogenic orientation is represented by the following parameters: personality characteristics, teen character traits; social relations; representation and subjective attitude to their future. An empirical study was carried out, the main purpose of which was a detailed analysis of the subject of study. The urgency of the work causes the need for early prevention and effective correction of the criminal nature of the adolescent's personality, with the aim of preventing its formation in a sustainable personality formation. There is a clear contradiction between the need of modern society for a law-abiding younger generation and an increase in the growth of juvenile delinquency; Between the need for practice in the theoretical, methodical support of the process of prevention and correction of the criminal situation and the absence of practical recommendations for the implementation of these processes and increasing their effectiveness. The desire to resolve contradictions has determined the problem of research - the identification of the psychological and pedagogical conditions of early prevention and effective correction of the criminal nature of the adolescent's personality. We proceeded from the assumption that early prophylaxis and effective correction of criminogenic orientation is possible when the following psychological and pedagogical conditions are realized: a) a comprehensive study of the personality of adolescents (socio-psychological, individual and personal characteristics); Identification of criminogenic qualities and unlawful, antisocial motives of behavior; B) the formation of an attitude toward a change in criminogenic qualities and unlawful, antisocial motives of behavior; Formation of a positive, value attitude to their future; Optimization of relations with the society (changing the parameters of the crime-oriented nature); C) organization of interaction between specialists of various profiles as subjects of the corrective process. An analysis of the changes in the criminal nature of the adolescent's personality (in the aspect of its constituent components), with the consistent implementation of psychological and pedagogical conditions, was carried out with the help of techniques conducted before and after the implementation of corrective measures: "Diagnostics of propensity to deviant, unlawful behavior" (developed by the Vologda counseling center And humanitarian research "Development"); "Value orientations" M. Rokich, "Assessment of the degree of recognition of guilt" (developed by N. P. Kreidun, E. E. Polivanova, L. N. Yavorovskaya), the Bassa-Darka questionnaire, "Unfinished sentences" (Saks-Levi). Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the changes took place, methods of mathematical statistics were used (t - Student's test). The study made it possible to establish that the prevention and correction of the criminal nature of the adolescent's personality will be most effective if the following conditions are met: a) a comprehensive study of the personality of adolescents (socio-psychological characteristics: conflict, hostility, aggression, propensity to violence in relationships with adults and peers, inclination towards Violation of established social norms and rules, etc., and individually-personal: emotional instability, impulsivity, excitability, accentuation x And others); B) the formation of an attitude to change the criminal qualities and illegal, antisocial motives of behavior (awareness of the need to change the negative qualities of the individual, the emergence of desire and willingness to change their behavior, lifestyle); Formation of a positive, value attitude to their future (adequate, objective representation of the future, changing priorities in determining life goals, values); Optimization of relations with the society (reduction of conflict, hostility, aggressiveness in relations, propensity to violence, increase in the level of social adaptation); C) the organization of interaction between specialists of various profiles as subjects of the corrective process (the creative process of jointly solving the problems of adolescents, through the implementation of their individual activities, their content, the main goal: to direct joint actions to create conditions for the development of the personality of the adolescent).Scientific novelty of the conducted research, which does not pretend to be exhaustive, consists in revealing the psychological and pedagogical conditions that contribute to early prevention and effective correction of the criminal orientation. The practical significance of the study is to enrich the practice of interaction between specialists

Abstract: This article is devoted to the problem of psychological and pedagogical support of the process of interaction between educational community actors under new socio-cultural conditions. In her research Blinova examines problems that may arise in the process of interaction between educational community members and that are caused by the changing role of school and teacher in a modern socviety, and difficulties in establishing the contact between school students and adults caused by the 'civilization bareer'. The author of the article also analyzes the phenomenon of transformation of a modern 'parenthood', selection of parental self-efficacy strategies and their influence on the educational process in a Russian school. The author of the articvle describes specific features of implementing multimodal art-technologies (Expressive Arts methods and techniques adjusted to the Russian educational conditions) in the process of psychological and educational interaction. The author of the article also proves the efficiency of multimodal art-technologies as a means of improving the process of interaction between educational community actors (school students, their parents and teachers) through self-analysis and understanding of one's own emotional and behavioral patterns of interaction in the process of creative activity at different imaginary levels, acquisition of new experience in the process of non-verbal communication and extension of the range of communication strategies. The author's special contribution to the topic is the extension of ideas and views on using Expressive Arts methods and techniques in Russian education and enrichment of a set of methods used by a school psychologist. The practical importance of the research is caused by the fact that the author develops a special program of raising a proficiency level of school psychologists which she named 'Psychological and Pedagogical Support of Educational Community Actors in a School Student - Teacher - Parent Triad'. The results of the research and practical implementation of the program proves the program to be efficient.

Abstract: One of the most significant factors of adolescent adaptation is exposure to various types of violence. In scientific research, there is a lack of work on establishing the relationship between violence against a teenager and the characteristics of his maladaptation. The study is devoted to a comprehensive study and description of the features of the severity of the characteristics of socio-psychological maladjustment of adolescents subjected to psychological, emotional and physical violence. The study involved 159 schoolchildren aged 12 to 16 studying in grades 6-8 of general education institutions. Research methods: the author's questionnaire for assessing exposure to various types of violence and psychological testing of the characteristics of socio-psychological maladjustment of adolescents. Statistical processing was carried out using descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis of variance using the SPSS Statistics 26.00 software package. As a result of the study, statistically significant differences were established in the severity of suicidal risk, depression, deviant behavior, psychological well-being and self-attitude as characteristics of the socio-psychological maladjustment of adolescents who experienced various types of violence. The analysis made it possible to establish that all types of violence contribute to an increase in the socio-psychological maladjustment of adolescents, while physical violence has a more negative impact. According to the results of the study, it is possible to identify similar characteristics of the socio-psychological maladjustment of adolescents who were subjected to physical, psychological and emotional violence, these include: various forms of deviant behavior, mood changes, reduced self-esteem of health, greater closeness, insecurity, reduced self-esteem and self-worth.

Abstract: The purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis and identify differences in the system of value orientations of students – ethnic migrants and students – representatives of the indigenous population. The subject of the study: the features of the value orientations of students – ethnic migrants and students – representatives of the indigenous population. Research methods: 1. Theoretical: analysis of psychological literature on the problem of research. 2. Empirical: testing. Research methods: "Life-meaning orientations", D. Crambo and L. Maholika; "Diagnostics of the real structure of value orientations of personality" S. S. Bubnov; "Value orientations", M. Rokich. Methods of mathematical statistics: Mann-Whitney U-test. The differences in the value orientations of indigenous students and indigenous students are expressed in the following: 1.Attitude to life, to oneself and other people: the attitude to life of indigenous students has a meaningful and conscious character. In relation to the shortcomings in themselves and other people, they are strict. The process of life for ethnic migrant students is characterized as uninteresting and unfilled with meaning. They doubt the possibility of independent control of the events of their own lives. For ethnic migrant students, altruism is significant, which is expressed in the significance of the values of "Help and mercy to other people", "Happiness of others". 2. Indigenous students are focused on a happy family life as one of the significant values. Ethnic migrant students are more focused on culture and compliance with the rules and norms of behavior adopted in the society, which is reflected in the value of "Education". But at the same time, the value of self-affirmation is significant for them.

EDN: XHRHIG

Abstract: The article deals with the problem of pedagogical talent as a promising area of research in modern foreign pedagogical psychology. It is noted that at present a teacher is recognized as one of the key subjects of the educational process, and the requirements for him include the formation of those views, personality traits, competencies and patterns of behavior with which he would successfully function in changing conditions and solve pedagogical problems of a new type. It is shown that in the Russian psychological-pedagogical literature the problems of pedagogical talent are not sufficiently represented, so there is a need to refer to the results of foreign studies. The goal is to present and analyze foreign psychological approaches to the study of pedagogical talent. Foreign studies on the problem of pedagogical talent are divided into the following: the definition, characteristics and role of pedagogical talent in pedagogical activity; identification of pedagogical talent and its features; technologies of management and development of pedagogical talent. Based on the theoretical analysis of the works, conclusions are drawn about the insufficient conceptual understanding of the phenomenon of pedagogical talent, the definition of pedagogical talent through other personal and professional characteristics of the teacher, the dominance of the competence-based approach in studying this problem, the reliance of researchers on approaches from the field of organizational psychology and labor psychology. The importance of studying modern foreign research for setting topical theoretical and applied problems in the field of educational psychology is substantiated.

Iurtaeva M.N., Glukhanyuk N.S. - Psychological foundations of teamwork training pp. 31-42

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2020.3.33545

Abstract: The subject of this research is the individual psychological characteristics for learning teamwork skills. The relevance of the selected topic is defined by solving the tasks of teaching team interaction skills in the process of professional training of specialists, as well by insufficient empirical data on psychological mechanisms of pedagogical influence upon the effectiveness of tram-building process. The goal consists in comparing individual traits of the students and nature of their relationships, which determine the type of team interaction. For achieving the set goal and verification of the advanced hypothesis, the author surveyed teams of students (N=11) based on quasi-experimental plan. Along with the comparative design and correlation design, the author also applied the following psychodiagnostic methods: Eysenck's Personality Inventory (EPI), questionnaire for emotional intelligence by D. V. Lusin, “lifestyle index” method (adapted by L. I. Wasserman and others), characterological questionnaire by G. Shmishek, self-esteem model by A. Budassi; as well as statistical methods: Kruskal-Wallis criterion, Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Based on the acquired results, the author empirically describes the types of team: “introverted”, “restless-intellectual”, “inconsistent”, “narcissistic”, and “aggressive-manipulative”. Comparability of the types of teams with characteristics of “dark triad-tetrad” is determined. The novelty of this work consists in the empirical substantiation of differential approach towards teaching teamwork skills, as well as in outlining the two key trends in pedagogical work with the students. The first is aimed at overcoming social insecurity by means of intellectual self-affirmation. The second implies the students’ desire to exercise control over emotions and the object of relations. The proposed recommendations for work with each type of team can be implemented in pedagogical practice of the higher school.

Poyarkov S.Y. - Political pedagogy and its role within humanistic knowledge: analysis of Western approaches pp. 43-53

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2020.3.33781

Abstract: The subject of this research is the conceptualization of political education in educational science. Political education functions as a privileged point of intersection of various political discourses. It is claimed that different versions of political education comply with different ontological and epistemological assumptions, normative approaches towards democracy, and concepts of correlation between education, humanistic knowledge, and politics. It is noted that in majority of historical and philosophical concepts of democracy, there is a tacit link between politics and education. Recommendations for educational practice contain the definition of pedagogy within the framework of the theory of political education, as well as specific pedagogical methodologies with consideration of humanistic knowledge. The author describes the versions of political education that emerged as a result of analysis of the material. The corresponding political discourse and its philosophical principles, educational consequences for politics and practice, as well as debates and criticism, are viewed for each version. Thus, the elitarian version of political education and political pedagogy is associated with the elitarian democratic discourse. The supporters of liberal political education need education for political, epistemological, and moral reasons. Political equality can be guaranteed only in the society of informed and rational citizens; therefore, democracy requires the universalization of education. Neoliberals, in turn, recommend substituting public education with practice of competitive market, while debating pedagogues understand the education of democratic civic consciousness as cultivation of skills and values for the public discussion.

Chernov, S. V. - God, Human and Structure pp. 44-52
Abstract: The article is devoted to one of the civilization products, - the structure where personality dies and human becomes just an element keeping the whole system alive. He loses his identity and personality and turns into a creature evaluated and supported by the system in accordance to his usefulness. The author also defined and analyzed the following terms: establishment, labor, work, belief and knowledge. Very few people are able to struggle against the system and this little number includes saints, geniuses and people who manage to keep childish spontaneity and innocence. Such people are not influenced by the structure but on the other hand, they are rejected, repressed and even destroyed by the structure in some cases. Creativity, love and inner beauty of spiritually talented people are the main threat for the structure and its existence

Flerov O.V. - Foreign-Language Communicative Motivation and Developing Such Communication in the Teaching and Learning Process pp. 53-68

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2017.3.23790

Abstract: This article is devoted to developing foreign-language communicative motivation by the teaching means as one of the main conditions for realising communicative training in foreign langauges. In the 21st century communicative training in foreign langauges have become the leading approach of linguodidactics. In his research Flerov pays special attention to the contents and relation between terms 'learning motivation' and 'communicative motivation' in the process of learning a foreign language as well as analysis of the influence of all main elements of the linguodidactic theory (contents, methods, means and forms of teaching) on foreign-language communicative motivation. The research is based on Russian theories of communication-oriented learning and teaching in foreign languages as well as the general theory of learning motivation. In addition to the content analysis of the aforesaid terms, the author has also applied the abstraction technique when analysing the influence of each particular factor on the development of foreign-language communicative motivation (hereinafter referred to as 'communicative motivation'). The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the author analyzes the term 'communicative motivation' from the linguodidactic point of view, the term that is traditionally viewed as just learning motivation in the process of learning and teaching foreign languages. The author of the present article demonstrates that in the foreign-language teaching and learning process communicative motivation is a particular case of learning motivation which, however, has specific features. Analysis of these features allows to better use teaching means and develop communicative motivation. The article contains materials that may be useful in analyzing psychological grounds of efficiency of particular teaching and learning methods, forms and means as well as selecting contents of foreign-language lessons.

Abstract: The research is devoted to the study and description of the features of the severity of universal skills for successful career building and their relationship with the personal qualities of students of psychological and pedagogical areas of study at the university. The study involved 107 students of psychological and pedagogical areas of training at the university. Research methods: the author's questionnaire for assessing the frequency of manifestation in the behavior of ten universal skills for successful career building and psychological testing of students' personal qualities. Statistical processing was carried out using descriptive statistics, two-stage cluster, correlation and multivariate analyzes of variance using the SPSS Statistics 26.00 software package. As a result of the study, it was found that the skills of managing emotions and stress, flexibility, adaptability, self-presentation and conflict management are expressed at an average level among students of psychological and pedagogical areas of study at the university. Statistically significant differences in the severity of self-presentation skills, problem solving and conflict management among students of different courses were established. The greater severity of the skills of managing emotions and stress, self-presentation, leadership and problem solving in psychology students was determined. The development of individual psychological universal skills among students of psychological and pedagogical areas of study at a university is more associated with the development of emotional stability and self-control, the use of optimal coping strategies, and socio-psychological skills - with the development of extroversion, communication and leadership abilities, emotional stability and self-control.

Alperovich V. - “Congenial people”, “dissonant people” and “image of the word” of a mature person pp. 54-68

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2020.3.33852

Abstract: This research is dedicated to the problem of correlation between perception of other people by a subject and phenomenon of the “image of the world”. This topic is relevant for scholars of humanities in different countries in conditions of aggravation of various macrosocial conflicts. A theoretical study is conducted on correlations between the phenomena of “image of the world”, “worldview”, “model of the world”,  and approaches of the Russian psychology towards them. The author explores the results of empirical study of the “image of the world”, reflected in drawings, through the prism of metaphorical representations of a mature person on “congenial people” and “dissonant people”. The goal consists on carrying out a comparative analysis of peculiarities of the “image of the world” among persons differing in metaphorical representations on “congenial people” and “dissonant people”. The subject of this research is the metaphors of "congenial person” and “dissonant person”, the basic principles of a person and types of the “image of the world” depicted in drawings and verbal characteristics. The scientific novelty lies in the development of additional parameters for the analysis of the “image of the world” of a person, reflected in drawings. This article is first to determine correlations between different types of metaphors of “congenial person” and “dissonant person” as communication partners, and parameters of the “image of the world” of a person depicted in drawings. The conclusion is made that attribution of positive metaphorical socio-psychological characteristics to “congenial people” and “dissonant people” is associated with positive assessment of the objects of surrounding world. Stereotypization of images of other people as communication partners correlates with such of the “image of the world” in consciousness of a subject. The research results indicate that perceptions of “congenial people” and “dissonant people” by the subject affect their “image of the world”. The presented materials can be used in socio-psychological counseling for elaboration of the programs of correcting the system of relations of the subject to themselves and other people.

The main role in stress resistance is played by individual psychological characteristics of the individual and a number of vital physiological indicators, indicators of functional state. The aim of the study was to compare students in different functional states according to the Robinson index, according to the ratio of individual-personal characteristics and physiological indicators during examination stress. As psychological indicators, character traits identified through the questionnaire "Standardized multifactorial method of personality research" (SMIL – L. N. Sobchik) were taken, and the methodology "Determining the level of anxiety" (Ch. D. Spielberg, Y. L. Khanin) was also taken. The Robinson Index and omega potential are used as physiological indicators. The analysis of averages and correlation analysis were carried out. The study involved 100 students aged 18-22 years. According to the Robinson Index, an integral objective indicator of the severity of psychoemotional stress, two groups were obtained: the first group – without stress and the second group – with moderate stress. The following conclusions were obtained. Two groups of students with different types of reaction to exam stress were identified. The students of the first group had normative indicators of the processes of cardioregulation and super-slow physiological processes of the brain. The students of the second group showed an increase in the processes of cardioregulation and super-slow physiological processes of the brain. A comparative analysis of the profile obtained by SMIL showed that in the first stress-free group, the indicators are in the relative norm corridor. The second group with moderate stress has an increased profile with the main motivational focus on avoiding failure and impulsivity. Different interrelations of psychological and physiological indicators were also obtained for each of the groups we identified.

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2022.1.37251

Abstract: The article discusses situations, the theoretical understanding of which involves the introduction of the concept of "life world", as well as a new understanding of human development. To do this, the author implements a cultural and psychological approach and analyzes several cases within this approach. With the exception of the latter, they relate to the events of childhood and the formation of personality in adolescence. In the last case, an example of a spiritual revolution described by L.N. Tolstoy in the novel "Resurrection" is considered. In development, the author suggests distinguishing between the "formation" of the psyche and consciousness, "completion" and development proper as changes occurring within the framework of the life world.   He loads the latter not only with the characteristics that E. Husserl wrote about, but also culturological (the life world does not change in its structural characteristics for a long time, but then leaves, and another takes its place) and psychological. The author refers to psychological processes not only the influence of the life world, but also the process of constituting a new objectivity, including the crystallization of a problem situation, the unconscious reaction of the psyche and physicality to it, the conscious construction of schemes and other semiotic representations (symbols, metaphors, narratives), the emergence of a new reality, understanding and vision, finally, creating conditions for a new act.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the adaptability of adolescents with different perceptions of the style of family education. The authors investigate the peculiarities of adaptation of young people with different perceptions of the educational practice of parents. The paper presents the results of a study of the manifestation of the adaptive potential of more than 300 adolescents of educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova, Pridnestrovie, in 2021. Special attention is paid to the key indicators of adaptability of modern adolescents. The authors found that almost all the features of adaptation of adolescents are associated with manifestations of closeness and hostility in relationships with parents, as well as inconsistency in adult education. At the same time, the vectors of influence of the educational influences of the father and mother differ.    The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the peculiarity of the relationship between the indicators of adaptability of adolescents and the specifics of their perception of relations with their mother and father was studied in detail. It is concluded that the factor of closeness with both parents is more associated with high adaptability, while hostility and inconsistency in upbringing in relationships with the mother are associated with a decrease in adaptability. The results of the study can be used in the development of psychological assistance programs for adolescents and recommendations for further preventive, educational and counseling work with their families.

Abstract: The subject of the research of this article is the connection of emotional intelligence with the success of educational and professional activities of students of the Music Academy. A study was conducted on 60 respondents of the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theater. The following methods were used in the study: the scale of self-assessment of one's success (D. Laikert), the scale of assessment of the level of situational (concert) anxiety (C.D. Spielberg, Y.L. Khanin), the method of assessing "emotional intelligence" (N.Hall), mathematical methods of data processing. In the course of the study, a positive relationship was established between emotional intelligence, educational and performance success, and self-esteem of students in the general sample. Students manage their emotions better and are therefore better able to control anxiety and focus on the learning process, which in general has a positive effect on their success.   Emotional intelligence affects the success of the educational and professional activities of students of the Music Academy and confirms our hypothesis. Indeed, the higher the emotional intelligence, the more successful the educational and professional activities of students and the lower the concert anxiety. Students with a higher level of emotional intelligence not only have high scores in musical performance, but are also more adequate in self-assessment of their abilities. We believe that in the conditions of musical performance, emotional intelligence receives a specific refraction determined by the peculiarities of musical and artistic activity. This is manifested in the development of such qualities as managing your emotions, self-motivation, empathy.

Abstract: The object of this research is the foreign language communicative competence. The subject of this research is the possibilities and mechanisms of their development through linguistic education process. The authors substantiate the methodological value of the psychological knowledge in linguodidactics and importance of psychology as a source of new possibilities for theoretical substantiation and increasing the efficiency of linguistic education. Special attention is given to the structural-content specificity of foreign language communicative competence and its consideration in the use of the latest methods, forms and approaches in teaching a foreign language. The research employs the analytical-deductive method, implying the substantive transition from the concept of “competence” to the concept of “communicative competence”, and ultimately, to foreign language communicative competence as a narrower concept. The work also uses abstraction method, which allows determining the essence of competence separately from the psychological and pedagogical positions. The scientific novelty consists in the detailed analysis of the concept of “foreign language communicative competence”, as well as in the analysis of the correlation of examined concept in psychology and the competence-oriented pedagogy, likewise the fusion of these methodological platitudes within interdisciplinary problematic field of linguistic educational process with identification of particular didactical and methodological capabilities and difficulties in development of such competences.

Abstract: The authors of the present article analyze whether it is possible to use the activity approach as one of the methods in researches of the phenomenon of distance education as the part of research area ‘Topical issues of distance education’. In order to create a complete and successive image of the aforesaid social phenomenon, it is necessary to apply not only methods from general and individual science, but also universal methods of philosophical analysis because we are talking about a complex social and technical object where the ‘Human Machine’ system plays a key role. The researchers use the activity approach as the element of the many-level concept of methodological knowledge that is usually related to the philosophical research methods. The activity approach allows to describe the structure of distance education and understand its special features. It is the activity approach that demonstrates distance education as a new social phenomenon, activity, special form of social relations and special social institution. This, in its turn, underlines how important it is for a researcher to take into account the complexity of all levels and elements of the phenomenon of distance education. Subject matter, terms, research methodology, nomology and praxiology of the science that studies topical issues of distance education must be formed on the basis of information- technological and social-humanitarian spheres of research where the activity approach must perform the integrating methodological function as the basic method of philosophical research.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the process of socialization of primary school students. The author of the article analyzes the main aspects of personality socialization both at school and in the process of teaching. The author also provides a brief description of scientific concepts lying in the basis of the research of the socialization process at elementary school. Due to the reforms based on the Bologna process, elementary school education has undergone significant changes both in teaching methods and organization. After the Federal State Educational Standards of the second generation appeared, the process of education is growing more focused on versatile development of personality and discovery of a child’s own abilities and talents. Special attention is paid to particular features of the development of junior schoolers, formation of their logical thinking and abstract thinking. It is also necessary to note that family plays a very important role in the process of socialization and formation of the effective adjustment strategy of a child to his school and family life. The author underlines that only the interaction of the two social institutions, family and school, will allow to an elementary school student to experience the socialization processes without serious psychological problems and traumas.

Abstract: This paper tests R. Agnew’s general strain theory (GST) of youth crime and juvenile delinquency in Poland. According to Agnew, strain theory focuses on negative relationships with others: that is, relationships in with others do not treat the individual as he or she would like to be treated. The main research problem is in the two following questions: Is there a relation between the sense of strain, the social control, differential association, personality factors, situational, social factors, and youth delinquency? The hypotheses were tested on 179 male young adult prisoners and 145 pupils. Finally, we were able to note that the general strain theory has the potential to serve as a major explanation for young adult crime and juvenile delinquency in contemporary society. The results could be used in the prevention of criminal behaviour, therapy, rehabilitation, criminal and social policy.

Abstract: The author of the article underlines the need for development of tools of evaluating universal educational actions in the conditions of introduction new Federal State Education Standards in elementary education. The author provides a summary of diagnostic tools for evaluating educational activity that are usually applied in psychology and teaching. Results of development and standardization of a special method aimed at evaluating a style of educational activity of younger school students – QSEA (questionnaire of style of educational activity) with use of the correlation and factorial analysis are presented. The advantage of the aforesaid questionnaire is in its coherence with meta-disciplinary results of educational activity: cognitive, regulatory and communicative actions. The method passed standardization according to standard procedures. Psychometric test of QSEA proves that it is possible to use the questionnaire at public schools for the complex assessment of style of educational activity as an indicator of educational activity. The method allows elementary school teachers to conduct independent monitoring of formation of universal educational actions of school students and to use the results in correction of their educational activity.

DOI:

Abstract: The subject of the research is the coping strategies used by the first- and fourth-year students in a situation of being evaluated (exam, for example). Special attention is paid to the analysis of factors of selecting coping strategies: 1) personality traits (subjective factors), 2) situational (objective) factors and 3) age-related factors (depending on the year of studies, juniors and seniors). To carry out a detailed analysis, Bicherova conducted an empirical research which hypothesis was the assumption that at different stages of University studies students select different behavior strategies in situations when they are being evaluated depending on subjective factors (student’s personality traits or lack of experience or skills in dealing with this type of hardships) and objective factors (year of studies and psychological assistance). First- and fourth-year students of Bryansk State University aged 17 – 22 participated in the research. The overall number of participants constituted 52 people. To achieve the set goals, the researcher used the following diagnostic inventories: Coping Strategy Indicator by D. Amirkhan, Self-Esteem Quantitative Inventory by S. A. Budassi and Social-Psychological Adaptation Inventory by C. Rogers and R. Diamond). By using methods of mathematical statistics, the researcher proved significant differences in coping strategies selected by the first- and fourth-year students in situations of being evaluated: the first-year students tend to ask their significant others for help and support more than the fourth-year students; the first-year students also use the ‘problem avoidance’ and ‘search for social support’ strategies more frequently. By using the method of correlation analysis, the researcher also proved the following relationships: the group of the first-year students demonstrated the reverse relationship between the ‘search for social support’ and ‘adaptability’ scales while for the group of the fourth-year students such coping strategy as the ‘search for social support’ is directly related to high levels of anxiety and rigidity. The fourth-year students also demonstrated the direct relationship between the ‘problem avoidance’ and ‘aggression’ scales and the reverse relationship between the ‘problem avoidance’ and ‘acceptance of others’ scales. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the researcher analyses selection of coping strategies by students of different years of studies using a psychodiagnostic method of personality and situational factors. The practical importance of the research is caused by the fact that the results can be used and implemented by university teachers and psychologists in order to improve the educational process, develop trainings and psychological assistance programs to help students to establish efficient personal coping strategies with situations of being evaluated that are usually stressful events in student’s life.

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2014.6.65050

Abstract: The subject under research of the present article is the rating scale system of evaluation of the quality of teaching at higher school. The authors focus on the problems which rise when implementing the foresaid evaluation system at Russian high schools not only at the qualitative but also at the quantitative levels. The importance of the research is dictated by the fact that in the age of information society it appears difficult to realize the high level of dynamic performance, availability, variability, differentiability and control over the educational process especially at the Bachelor’s level. Education process is viewed as a complex dynamic developing system. Research methodology is based on the rating method of evaluating the quality of functioning of complex systems including the quality of knowledge in the system of education. The author analyzes the two methods for evaluating the degree of complexity of didactic and expert modules — the method of heuristic judgments and the method of coordinated judgments. Rating evaluation method allows to reduce evaluation errors by rating the quality of education according to the many-point rating scale. The following rules for converting rating points to scoring points are applied by the authors when using a 5-point and 100-point evaluation scales with the level of error probability being equal to 0.0025 (no more than one error per four hundred cases): 2-point rating correspond to 48 scoring points and less, 3-point rating falls within the range from 52 to 68 scoring points, 4-point rating falls within the range from 72 to 88 scoring points and 5-piont rating lies in the range from 92 to 100 scoring points. There are no valid evaluations of the quality of the functioning of the system (for example, the system of education) in the ranges from 48 to 52, from 68 to 72 and from 88 to 92 with the level of error probability of 0.0025. According to the authors, when the rating falls within these ranges, it is necessary either to arrange for additional evaluation, for example, re-examination when a student wants to get a better grade or make a decision either to a student’s or a teacher’s benefit. Probability of evaluation error has the limits that are created by the justified choice of degrees of complexity of expert modules. These degrees of complexity, in their turn, depend on the degree of complexity of related system (or didactic, in case of education) modules.

Abstract: In her article Kulagina brings forward the problem of high school students' professional identity. The author provides a review of modern researches emphasizing the importance of the problem being raised. Based on the literary analysis, the author concludes that there are still a lot of gaps in this sphere, one of them is the insufficient number of approved teaching and learning aids that could be used in the process of teaching. The author's contribution to the aforesaid problem is her own career counseilng high school elective course that proved to be efficient. The methodological basis of the research involves researches and books written by E. Zeer, E. Klimov, and G. Rezapkina. Researches conducted by N. Pryazhnikov, and E. Klimov have also had a significant effect on the development of the educational program. The idea and contents of the eductional program are based on guidances offered by O. Makhaeva, E. Grigorieva, N. Afanasieva, S. Chistyakova and I. Umovaskaya. The author's contribution and novelty of the research is that the author has developed on her own the entire subject content of the program taking into account the declared educational target and has also included new knowledge (and new experience) that have never been mentioned by basic disciplines before. Testing the results of the program, the author has also discovered that the educational program increases the level of communicative, social and information competences of high school students which is quite important for today's young people.

Abstract: The object of the research is the teaching of foreign languages. The subject of the research is the correlation between language, speech and communication in this pedagogical process. The author of the article analyzes the views of linguistics and psychology on the correlation and relationship between these concepts and demonstrates how language, speech and communication determine the key components in the process of teaching foreign languages. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the methods of teaching not only in terms of the contemporary methodological issues but also in restrospective. The method of the research applied by the author of the article is the integrated linguistic, psychological and psycholinguistic analysis. The author also applies the empirical data from his own experience in teaching foreign languages. According to the author of the article, today's practice of teaching foreign languages lacks a clear understanding of what teaching languages, teaching to speak and to communicate actually mean. As a result, the methods of teaching become less efficient. The novelty of the article is caused by the fact that the author demonstrates how the aforesaid concepts manifest themselves in actual teaching practice and teaching foreign languages today and how these concepts have been changed as the part of didactics over years.

Abstract: The subject of the study are psychological conditions that determine the development of understanding of both the process and resuls of operatoins of the university students. The object of the study is the learning process of students. In her article Borzova has attempted to develop a diagnostic tool for studying the processes of student understanding himself, events and phenomena of the surrounding world, and other people. The author considers that the scientific text of Alexander Lazursky and Semyon Frank "The program for studying personality in terms of its attitude to the environment" does not only have a cultural value as a text written by the scientists of the 20th century. This text also has a powerful diagnostic potential of knowledge and understanding of the human being and his disharmony with himself and the othe world. Borzova attempts to adapt "The program for studying personality in terms of its attitude to the environment" to the process of teaching students. The main contribution of the author in the study of the problems of understanding the nature of the text and social sciences is the creation of the diagnostic tool that allows a modern student to interact with all kinds of signifiers that possess the meaning and are capable of creating new meanings. The first step towards this goal has been the publication of a modified version of Koseling's inventory "Overcoming Difficulties in Writing Texts" (published in the Psychology and Psychotechnics Journal, Issue 1, 2014).

Abstract: The age of social network users is constantly extending. Researchers often view the role of social networks as a negative Internet phenomenon. However, the impact of social networks is not so definitely negative. In this regard, the authors of the present article have decided to analyze the topic of school students using social networks both in the theoretical and practical sense. Meanwhile interpersonal relations of children are often well understood and managed by their parents, virtual communication is not so easy to be managed. For this purpose, the authors have decided to analyze evaluations of social networks provided by children and their parents. The purpose of the research is to analyze and compare roles of social networks in the life of high school students from the view of school students themselves as well as their parents. The research objectives also include to define the frequency and purposes of high school students using social networks, to determine the most popular social networks, etc. The subject of the research is the evaluation of the role of social networks in the life of high school students given by students and their parents. To achieve the research objectives, the author has used the comparative research method to analyze groups of high school students and their parents, 47 people per each, as well as such psychodiagnostic methods as questionnaries and interviews. In her article Dolgopolova presents the results of comparing evaluations provided by school students and their parents regarding the role of social networks in their life including the number of registered accounts, reasons of why school students use social networks, advantages and disadvantages of social networks. The results of the research demonstrate that both children and their parents have a similar understanding of what minuses and pluses of social networks are. However, parents and their children have a different evaluation of how frequent they use social networks as well as the number of social networks. Noteworthy that parents tend to exaggerate the fact that their children may use social networks for academic reasons why children use social networks mostly for communication. The results of the research can be used in further researches of developing social technologies and social communication of children in social networks. The results can be also used in the practical sense, particularly, for psychological and pedagogical training of teachers, parents and during psychological sessions.

Abstract: The subject under research is the image of Baba Yaga associated with a particular type of a Russian woman. Yaga represents emotions, actions and behavior that demonstrate contradictory and unpredictable female nature and reflect different stereotypes of woman’s personality (a loving mother, a devilish woman and a heroic woman). Being related to the Great Mother, Baba Yaga is a remainder of matriarchal, patriarchal, shamanistic, animistic and totemic representations of the ancient picture of the world. This creates the complexity of the archetypical image but at the same time makes the archetypical image rather obscure due to the fact that Baba Yaga is usually shown as an old woman in those fairy tales that have survived. The main research methods used by the author of the article are the dialectic, historical, comparative and descriptive methods. Despite being just a lesser character in fairy tale plots, Baba Yaga plays a very important role in the main characters’ good fortune and help the main characters to undergo the initiation ceremony. This fairy tale character is enigmatic and powerful and represents the complexity, diversity and unpredictability of a fate of a Russian woman.
Keywords: archetype, Baba Yaga, female image, Centauricity, initiation, intuition, life path, forest, hut, broom, mortar.

Abstract: In today’s unstable social environment and escalation of ethnic conflicts researches of formation and development of ethnic identity supported by, inter alia, ethnic stereotypes and ethnic discrimination of other nations. Cognitive and emotional components of these phenomena create images of the Other from different points of view: Us — Them or Friend –Foe. Nevertheless, the influence of social and psychological aspects of us-them representations on formation of discriminatory attitude to members of other ethnic groups is understudied. The purpose of the present research is to define the interdependence between perceiving someone as the Friend (based on the example of Russian and Kalmyk students) and discriminatory attitude towards representatives of other ethnocultural groups. In this research the author used both quantitative and qualitative methods (subjective scaling, categorical, frequency and cluster analysis). It is shown that Russian and Kalmyk respondents who had different perceptions of the image of Friend had a different attitude to Slavic, Caucasian and Asian nations. This data proves the hypothesis about the influence of the perception of the Other as Friend on formation of discriminatory attitude to other nations. The results of the research can be used for preparation of trainings of interethnic and intercultural tolerance, conflict solution and creation of social and psychological technologies of anti-terrorist activities.

Aptikieva L.R., Aptikiev A.Kh., Bursakova M.S. - On the Problem of Studying the Criminogenic Orientation of Teenager Personality pp. 1023-1032

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2016.12.68641

DOI:
10.7256/2454-0722.2013.11.63521

Abstract: The author of the article analyzes activity and psychological assistance provided at Centers of Child Play Development (CCPD) as structural subdivisions of state kindergartens. The author describes particular features of activities performed at CCPD. Performance of such centers is based on the principles of the theory of leading activity (this is the play activity at childhood) and the principles of cultural-historical psychology (in particular, the principle of the zone of proximal development). These principles were used during preparation for group lessons when a mother and a child were introduced to different forms of play activity (drawing and plasticine modeling) and physical activity (games and exercises). Special attention is paid at developing cognitive skills, curiosity, social skills, activity and encouragement of general creativity of a child. The author of the article uses practical methods for evaluation efficiency of such lessons, emotions and feelings of a child during a lessons and influence of these factors on adaption to a kindergarten in the future. The article proves CCPD to be quite efficient. Practically all children who attended such lessons at CCPD successfully adjust to their kindergartens and show a rather high level of cognitive development compared to children who never attended such centers.
